Across the Tasman Sea

Another day of sailing today as we head further South East towards the bottom of New Zealand. After breakfast we attended the Port destination lecture for Tauranga in the North Island but left ahead of time to enjoy some quiet time and do some reading. The staff have put the destination lectures on the televisions in our rooms so we can catch up when we want to. Trivia was fun and then I headed to a seminar on Basic Digital Photography and learnt some different ways to use my camera that I’ve had for two years.

We headed to the lecture on Bay of Islands after lunch and then enjoyed the Music Connection Gameshow. Time for some more reading and ship wandering before the Afternoon Trivia and dinner followed by the musical theatre show featuring Paul Costa singing some great songs. He also sang an original Surviving 1932 which was a contender for a Golden Guitar award and up against the likes of Troy Casser-Daly and Keith Urban.

As we left the theatre we listened to an Irish duet in the Wheelhouse Bar – Aileen and Sticks – who were also very good and then headed to the Famous Faces Quiz which we were not too good at. But it’s all fun!! Before heading to bed I managed this great sunset shot at 9:20pm.
