This morning we flew from Brisbane to Sydney to meet our cruise tomorrow. Apart from a short delay it was uneventful and we took a taxi to our hotel in The Rocks area. After a brief walk around the area we refreshed and met a friend for Happy Hour drinks and dinner along the path to the Opera House. We had a great catch up and then looked at some of the Christmas decorations walking back to the hotel.

With most of the day ahead of us before our boarding time of 3:30pm we found a spot for breakfast and then walked through the Botanic Gardens. Along the way we found a great photo spot on Cahill’s Walk for that iconic shot of our ship in harbour with the bridge behind.

After heading back to the hotel for a coffee we checked out leaving our bags to collect later we headed to the QVB in the city by train to check out the Swarovski crystal Christmas Tree and after lunch there walked back to the hotel. We have about an hour to spare so just rested in the lounge area and then made out way to the Overseas Passenger Terminal. Check in was quick and easy and before long we had boarded the Ruby Princess and found our room. It looks pretty comfy for our two week stay and the porthole window size is good. We spent some time exploring to find a few of the important places for food and activities and after the Muster and dinner had a fairly early night. Over the next two nights our clocks go forward an hour each night to prepare us for the time difference.
