New headlines this morning from QANTAS.
Qantas has announced it and Jetstar are planning on resuming international flights from late October.
The national carrier said it plans to restart regular international passenger flights to most destinations from October 31, following Australia's COVID-19 vaccine rollout.
"Capacity will be lower than pre-COVID levels, with frequencies and aircraft type deployed on each route in line with the projected recovery of international flying," it said in a statement.
"International capacity is not expected to fully recover until 2024."

Today's sad task. I reviewed our future travel dreams which were held in these brochures. By the time we feel free and safe to travel overseas they will be very out of date and probably some companies will no longer exist. Our time to travel will also have reduced. I put 25 magazines in the recycle bin and now have one magazine holder to store the remaining. Thankfully there is a lot to see in Australia and our closer possible travel bubble countries. ... A fun day yesterday plotting and planning our trip to North Qld in July and August. All our holidays this year are staying in Qld and we will be booking the caravan parks we need for this one as we imagine many others will be heading north for the winter as well. Well, jumping through the document hoops was worth it as our travel insurance refund is in our account this morning. They do not refund where you have been able to obtain a credit voucher but will reopen our claim if we still can't use them.
We received a refund from Emirates and credit notes from Viva Holidays for the stopover hotel in Dubai, Trafalgar for our deposit on the Spain escorted tour, the Porto cruise and the hotel in Dubai for Expo. The remainder less our $100 excess has been paid by Insure and Go.
For those wondering the onus is on the policy holder to reduce the liability in any way possible and there were plenty of documents needed.
A huge shout out to our travel agent Sally Cochrance @ Helloworld Eatons Hill for all her help with the documentation and starting to use our credit vouchers. ... See MoreSee Less

Our last day here today and started with the Paperbark trail and checking out Red Rock and it's 4WD entry. Well keep it for another time. After filling the car with fuel we got home in time for lunch and a storm while we were napping.
