The Sun Sets on Another Holiday

Posted on

This morning we packed up and checked out of the caravan park at Tannum Sands to begin our drive home. We don’t want to arrive in Brisbane in peak hour traffic so we’ll do it easily over two days. As we head south we drive through Miriam Vale which will be the turn off for our next caravan holiday in November when we have a week booked at Agnes Water. We stopped at the Granite Creek Rest Area about half way to Gin Gin for our morning coffee and we are looking at some of these stops for that next trip as well. There are quite a few free camps between Gympie and Miriam Vale which will be great for a one night stop.

We reviewed Gin Gin, Apple Tree Creek and also Tiaro where we bought some smoked bacon and gammon steaks from the local butcher before deciding to stop at Gunalda, about 30 km north of Gympie for the night. It is certainly cooler now we are further south but we managed a sunset photo for that last night. Tomorrow we make the final drive home and unpack. I’ll do one last post when all of the finances are sorted.
